About the Crew
Cary Kelley is the creator, letterer, and principle writer on the Dynagirl series, and the founder of Red Handed Studios. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Victoria and son Logan, enjoying live music, good movies, and excellent company, all while nursing a margarita. When he’s not writing or producing comics, Cary can be found reading anything he can get his hands on, playing a wide variety of sports, or kicked back in the bean bag enjoying some quiet time with his family.
As the co-creator and writer of Dead Reckoning, Cary has finally been able to play in a sandbox he’s longed to jump into with both feet.
Scottie Ray Watson broke into comics in a big way with a smashing win of the Small Press Idol 2007 contest, crushing the competition with his fantasy series Talon. Since then Scottie has been an absolute machine, producing work for several books and studios, including his forthcoming work on the Night series for Jester Press. After he met Cary in Chicago in 2007, they both decided it was only a matter of time before they began working together. Scottie officially joined Red Handed Studios in the Spring of 2009, and since then things have progressed quickly! Scottie has polished up his already fantastic Talon book, as well as worked up an intro story for our forthcoming Seppuku Blues. (Both of these will appear in the forthcoming Red Handed Sampler to be published in 2011.) Currently his focus is the recently announced Dead Reckoning series of stand alone original graphic novels. Scottie lives in Kentucky with his wife and two sons, and is a full time tattoo artist when he isn’t chained to an art table!
